The important topic raised by us under the “Velvet. High Five for Nature” program during the 2023/2024 school year is biodiversity.
We support environmental education in Polish kindergartens and schools by trying to inspire children and teachers to act in harmony with the environment and for the sake of nature. This year’s edition is focused on biodiversity. This issue is a very important and even crucial for the stability of ecosystems since it ensures ecological balance and environmental resistance.
This year’s novelty is a mobile application equipped with an AI model. It can be downloaded to smartphones and helps recognizing plant species and marking their places of occurrence. Optionally, the participants of “High Five for Nature” can take part in a competition (using the application and the AI model) and win board games or set of activities conducted by the Program’s educators in the winning schools and kindergartens.
This year, “Velvet. High Five for Nature” under a slightly different name “Nature in the first place” was also launched in the Czech Republic, where MORACELL – a company of the Velvet CARE Group – has its headquarters.
