We care about the future of the planet and our children. We care about educating children about environmental protection and that is why we launched the second edition of the programme addressed to pupils and teachers. The programme implements the goals included in our sustainable development strategy, Velvet CARE Eco Agenda 2025.
This is already the second national edition and this time, the focus is on taking care of the natural resources. Being aware of the present socio-economic situation which all of us are facing now – as consumers, enterprises and schools – we selected two areas of eco-education this year:
– saving the utilities: water and energy
– limiting generation of waste in line with the less and zero waste philosophy.
The war in Ukraine has affected all of us, including schools. Meeting the expectations half way, but also trying to make the work easier for the schools, we decided to simplify the programme formula to the maximum. The winning schools will be provided with ready-made ecological solutions that will help them be more environmentally-friendly. Additionally, class scenarios are also available in the Ukrainian language version!
How does it work? The schools register on website www.piatkadlanatury.pl where they can freely download the materials prepared for them. The website also offers class scenarios from the previous edition – an extensive portion of knowledge, ready to be used by teachers!
Obviously, just like the last year, attractive prizes are waiting for the winners!
The current edition of the “Velvet. Piątka dla natury” programme will last from October 2022 to June 2023.
